Staying Strong and Independent at 95: Hildy’s Story

At RegenClinic, we meet people every day who remind us that growing older doesn’t have to mean slowing down. One of those people is Hildy—a woman whose spirit, determination, and light have inspired everyone on our team.

Healing, Independence, and a Little Help from Light

At 95, Hildy still drives herself to appointments, plays bridge with friends, and lifts weights three times a week. She has been coming to RegenClinic since May of last year, keeping a steady rhythm of red light therapy—two sessions a week that she calls her “maintenance plan.”

Earlier this year, Hildy tripped and fell at home, leaving her face bruised and swollen. She called the clinic the next day to cancel her appointment, but instead of accepting the cancellation, our acupuncturist, David, drove to her home to treat her. He visited every day that week—and continued daily treatments the following week as well.

During those visits, he not only helped her body heal quickly but also discovered that her emergency alert device hadn’t worked during the fall. David helped her get it functioning again, ensuring her safety and peace of mind moving forward.

Because she received immediate treatment after the injury, Hildy recovered remarkably well and didn’t need to go to the hospital. Her resilience, consistency, and quick access to care made all the difference.

A Routine That Keeps Her Going

Hildy attributes her independence to a few simple habits: movement, community, and light.

She’s been using red light therapy regularly for over a year—combining pod sessions, focused laser treatments, and laser acupuncture as part of her wellness routine. She describes it as a way to keep my body moving and my energy up.

“I feel better every time I come in,” she told us, smiling.

Hildy’s story shows what’s possible when you give your body consistent, supportive care. Red light therapy isn’t just about healing—it’s about staying active, mobile, and connected as we age.

Why Red Light Therapy Supports Aging Well

Red light therapy, or photobiomodulation, works by stimulating energy production within your cells—helping reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and promote tissue repair. For older adults, that means better recovery, less stiffness, and improved overall vitality.

At RegenClinic, we use a combination of full-body pod sessions and targeted laser treatments to support joint health, muscle function, and neurological wellness. Many of our patients, like Hildy, notice improvements not only in pain and mobility but also in mood, energy, and quality of life.

Staying Independent with Support

Aging gracefully isn’t about avoiding help—it’s about finding the right kind. For Hildy, that means having a trusted care team who knows her routine, understands her goals, and helps her keep doing the things she loves.

If you’ve been thinking about ways to support your mobility or energy as you age, red light therapy can be a gentle, non-invasive option.
