Multiple sclerosis, uncertainty, and how gentle light can support you
For many people, the journey with multiple sclerosis begins long before a diagnosis. Early symptoms often arrive quietly—fatigue that feels different than usual, strange sensations in the legs, sudden weakness, or moments of dizziness that don’t have an explanation. These episodes may come and go, shift over time, and resurface in new ways.
Because MS can mimic so many other neurological or immune conditions, getting a diagnosis is rarely simple. It often requires years of specialist visits, long waiting lists, and repeated tests. During that time, people live with very real symptoms but no clear answers. It can be frightening, confusing, and deeply isolating.
At RegenClinic, we meet people during this vulnerable stage often—the limbo between knowing something is wrong and knowing what it is. Our goal is to support both the physical and emotional challenges of MS, offering care that helps people feel less alone while their bodies and lives are changing.

What MS is
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic neurological condition in which the immune system mistakenly attacks the myelin—the protective covering around nerve fibers in the brain and spinal cord. As the myelin breaks down, nerve signals become disrupted.
This can lead to a wide range of symptoms, including:
• Weakness or numbness in the limbs
• Loss of balance or coordination
• Vision changes
• Cognitive fog
• Fatigue
• Tingling or altered sensations
A 2024 scientific review (PMCID: PMC11424438) highlights that MS involves two deeply linked processes: inflammation and mitochondrial dysfunction. Mitochondria—our cells’ energy producers—tend to perform poorly in MS, which contributes to fatigue, slower neural repair, and increased vulnerability to symptom progression.
Supporting these cellular systems is an emerging area of therapeutic interest.
How red light therapy helps
Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to support the body’s ability to repair and regulate itself.
According to the 2024 review (PMC11424438), red light therapy helps with MS by:
• Improving mitochondrial energy production
• Reducing inflammation within the central nervous system
• Modulating immune activity in a less inflammatory direction
• Enhancing blood flow and oxygen delivery
• Supporting cognitive clarity and reducing brain fog
In early studies summarized in the paper, patients receiving red light therapy reported improvements in mobility, reduced fatigue, and better symptom stability, especially when treatment was consistent over a period of several weeks or months.
While red light therapy is not a cure for MS, the growing research underscores its potential as a supportive, gentle therapy that enhances quality of life.
What treatment looks like at RegenClinic
RegenClinic uses THOR Photomedicine equipment for MS support—systems used internationally in neurological research. Treatments are gentle, non-invasive, and customized to meet each person’s comfort and needs.
A typical treatment plan includes:
Whole-body NovoTHOR sessions
• At least twice weekly, sometimes daily during initial phases
• Treatments begin at 6 minutes and gradually increase to 20 minutes as tolerated
Support for muscle pain and stiffness
• LED or Laser Cluster probes applied to key lymph nodes, spinal segments, and affected muscle groups
• Each area treated for about one minute
Support for brain fog or cognitive symptoms
• Targeted light applied to the carotid and vertebral arteries, back of the head, and prefrontal cortex
• Typically done three times weekly for ten weeks, then gradually spaced out
Most patients describe the experience as warm, calming, and deeply restorative.
🍃 You don’t have to navigate this alone
Living with MS—or navigating the long path toward diagnosis—can be overwhelming. Many people feel isolated, anxious, or unsure who to talk to about what they’re experiencing.
RegenClinic was built to be more than a treatment space. It is a community where people share their stories, support one another, and feel understood by a team that genuinely cares. Whether you are newly experiencing symptoms, seeking complementary support, or years into an MS diagnosis, we are here to walk alongside you.
Everyone deserves their health, their independence, and a place where they feel heard. That is what we aim to provide at RegenClinic.
